The Gorham School Department has the following positions available:

Assistant Director of Special Services (1 YR – anticipated)

2008-2009:  Varsity Boys Ice Hockey

Instructional Strategists (K-8)
Certification as a special education teacher (282) required. The Instructional Strategist is a special education teacher who will consult with teachers, coordinate pre-referral intervention efforts, and oversee the referral processes. This person will have a leadership role in facilitating IEP meetings, conducting evaluations and observing students and providing resources and strategies to teachers and parents. Ongoing training and professional development provided.

K-12 Behavioral Specialist/Consultant
Certification as a Special Education Teacher (282), Special Education Consultant (079), or School Psychological Services Provider required. Experience with behavioral consultation, assessment, and intervention. This is a district-wide position. The Behavior Specialist / Consultant will provide consultation, behavior analysis, and coordination of positive behavioral support plans for individual students. This position will also work collaboratively with administrators, school psychological service providers, and other professionals to advance school and district initiatives relative to positive behavioral supports and interventions.

Technology Systems Administrator
The Gorham School Department has an opening for a Systems Administrator.  The successful
candidate will assist in providing an efficient technology infrastructure for District students, staff,
town offices and community access.  An example of the overall responsibilities for this position
include:  file and domain servers, all network devices, the IP Telephony phone system, the help desk
server (Web HelpDesk), the e-mail system (First Class), the school district web pages, and all
other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology. 
A minimum of five years of successful
experience as a technology systems administrator is preferred.  Job description available on request.
