The Department of Facilities Management (DFM) staff is committed to and has expertise and special knowledge in maintaining buildings and facilities to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for school department employees, students and the general public.
The DFM, better known as the maintenance department, provides technical assistance for a variety of complex projects, including structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, grounds and athletic fields maintenance; in addition to space planning, design, and project coordination. Plans and specifications are developed to address departmental and student needs; comply with codes and regulations; acquire equipment and materials; and guide construction.
We continuously perform routine inspections of school department buildings, grounds, and utilities to identify and initiate correcting safety, structural, and maintenance deficiencies. Work Orders are initiated in-house for needed repairs in order to ensure a safe and supportive environment for the Gorham School Department and members of the community.
We are excited to announce that the new work order submittal system is now in place and ready to accept your work order requests. This new system should be much more user friendly. A copy of your work order will be emailed to you and as well as an updated email when the work has been completed.
Use the link below to submit your work order. The first time you log in, you may have to set-up your account (see the directions page below). But, once you have submitted a work order, you will have an account and your information will be filled in for future visits to the site.
