The proposed FY 18 School Budget still has one more step in the approval process in order to be finalized. Tuesday night, the Town Council voted to approve of the proposed school budget with an overall reduction of $300,000.00, which the School Committee took from our Capital Improvement Lines so as not to impact direct educational programming. The last step in the budget process is the validation referendum scheduled for June 13, 2015. PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE! THANK YOU!

Over 1000 Volunteers This Year In The Gorham Schools!

I just found out today that we've crossed over the 1000 volunteer mark with a total of 1,033 volunteers that have donated their valuable time to the children of Gorham this year. WOW! K-5 Parent Proficiency Based Learning Forum

Superintendent Perry will be hosting a forum for K-5 parents on Monday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Great Falls Elem. School Library for those parents who are interested in learning more about our Proficiency Based Learning System. It's a great chance to come and learn about PBL and to get any questions you may have answered! Hope to see you there!

GHS was evacuated at 12:40 pm because of a bomb threat. We are pleased to report that the GHS building has been cleared by three Maine State Police bomb dogs.

Dear GHS Parents/Guardians, GHS was evacuated at 12:40 pm because of a bomb threat. We are pleased to report that the GHS building has been cleared by three Maine State Police bomb dogs. Students and staff are currently returning to GHS and will be dismissed from GHS at 2pm as we normally do. We very much appreciate the cooperation of both state and local police departments. Gorham Schools Kindergarten Registration Night

Incoming Kindergarten Parent Information Night will be on Tues. March 7th at 6:00 p.m. at each of our Elementary Schools.
Our parent information night will be a night for parents to meet some of our staff and hear about our schools. You will also register your child to come back for Kindergarten screening. GHS Musical "Footloose" Opening Night Canceled

Tonight's Opening Night of "Footloose" the musical at GHS has been CANCELED due to snow. The make-up date for this show will be next Wed. Night, Feb. 15 same time. Those who purchased tickets for tonight's showing will be automatically moved to next Wednesday night. Anyone who wants to change that date may call 839-5754 to make new reservations. Thank you!
