The Gorham School Department has the following positions available:
Grades 1-4 Elementary Teachers
Gorham is seeking dynamic, highly qualified candidates with experience and/or a heightened knowledge of Proficiency Based Education, previous successful teaching at the primary level, and the skills to support a developmental approach to classroom instruction. Certification #20 required.
Guidance Counselor K-5
Self-directed and flexible educator will work closely with administration, teachers, and support staff to promote the social-emotional growth of students. Responsibilities will include planning and implementing differentiated guidance and social curricula. Candidates must have excellent teaching, organizational and communication skills. Certification #75 required.
Technology Ed Tech III
Gorham is seeking an excellent candidate for the position of ed tech III. This position requires a self-directed and flexible educator to work closely with the library media specialist. Responsibilities will include implementing technology curricula. Ed tech III authorization required.
Special Education Teacher K-5
Gorham has an opening for a K-5 Special Education Teacher working primarily with students with autism. The successful candidate must have strong communication and collaboration skills, a willingness to seek nontraditional solutions to issues that may arise and strong skills in developing intervention and data collection. Certification #282 required.
Special Education Ed Tech III’s
Gorham is seeking ed tech III’s to work with our K-12 special education students. Candidates must be able to work with students with a range of disabilities, including significant cognitive, developmental and behavioral disabilities. Must be skilled in providing instruction in different content areas. Ed tech III authorization required.
Extended School Year Resource Room Teacher
Working with students with disabilities. July 11 – August 3, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Certification #282 required.
Extended School Year Speech/Language Therapist
July 11 – August 17, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon, Tuesday & Wednesday. Certification #293 required.
