Dear Gorham High School Students and Families,

Parking has always been a challenge on our campus, and due to the ongoing construction project this year, there are several adjustments you need to know about.

Available Parking Areas

  • Spots numbered 97–103 and 118–240 are open for student parking.

  • Parking along the stadium as in previous years is available for students.

  • Additional parallel parking spots have been created near the preschool on Access Road.

  • There will be parking available at the middle school beginning Friday (see below).

  • Please note that, due to construction, there is no longer parking available in the dirt lot off of Morrill Ave.

Parking Stickers

This year, parking stickers will be issued to all students who wish to park at GHS. These stickers will not assign a specific parking spot but will grant the right to park on campus in any available student space.

Parking Registration

The first step is to complete a brief parking survey, which will require:

  • Student name

  • Make and model of your vehicle

  • License plate number

Limited On-Campus Parking

Please note that there will not be enough parking on campus to accommodate all students. Gorham does provide school bus transportation to students who live beyond one mile from school.

Additional Parking & Shuttle Service

Additional parking will be available at Gorham Middle School beginning Friday. A school bus shuttle will:

  • Pick up students at the middle school 10 minutes before the start of each period in order to have students at GHS on time

  • Transport students from GHS to the middle school lot following each period

If students miss the shuttle, they will need to walk.

We will review this information tomorrow with students and inform them on the timeline for handing out parking stickers.

We understand the inconvenience this causes and ask for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this temporary situation. The Town of Gorham and Gorham High School continue to work together closely to create the best solution possible under the current circumstances.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,

GHS Administration
