June 2026 — Gorham High School is incredibly proud to announce that student Brodie Berlinger has been selected as a global recipient of the 2026 #CreateConnectCare Awards, presented by the international non-profit organization Creative Visions.
Brodie was honored with the prestigious Spark of Inspiration Award in the 16-18-year-olds film/video category for his powerful original work, Finding Your Frequency.
The annual #CreateConnectCare Awards celebrate young people who utilize creative expression and compassion to build empathy, raise awareness, and destigmatize youth mental health challenges. This year’s global initiative saw participation from over 3,000 young creators spanning all 50 U.S. states and 15 countries. Brodie’s work stood out among over 50 extraordinary young artists, writers, and media makers recognized worldwide.
In tandem with Brodie’s achievement, GHS educator Lucinda Stein was highly commended by Creative Visions for her profound impact as a Creative Visions Ambassador. Over the last two years, Ms. Stein has been deeply engaged in nurturing a culture of care, supporting and encouraging her students to find their voices within the global #CreateConnectCare community.

At a time when global statistics show that 1 in 7 adolescents experience mental health challenges, projects like Finding Your Frequency offer an authentic, real-time window into what young people navigate today -- transforming isolation into deep connection.
