School Committee Meeting Information

The public is welcome and invited to attend school committee meetings.  The School Committee appreciates visitors from the public.  They feel it is very important for interested persons to know about the workings of our school system and for the committee to be aware of what is important to the community of Gorham.  You are invited to participate in the meeting in accordance with the policy and rules established by the committee.

* Meetings are in Superintendent's Conference Room @ 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted

The Gorham School Committee meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in the Gorham Town Council Chambers and holds workshop sessions on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  Agendas are prepared by the Superintendent and Committee Chair and are published at least three weekdays in advance of each meeting and are posted in the Superintendent's office, at each school, Gorham Town Hall, the local cable network, and in area newspapers.

Town Council Regular Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month in the Shaw Municipal Center - Council's Chambers at 7:00 p.m. 
 
NEW SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING INFORMATION - COVID-19 RELATED CHANGES
 
The Gorham School Committee will continue to meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for their regular meetings and the 4th Wednesday of each month for workshop meetings.  Meetings will typically begin at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated on the agendas.  
 
Due to COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols, however these meetings will be held VIA ZOOM until further notice.  At the top of each posted agenda, the URL for the zoom meeting as well as a phone number to call into the zoom meeting will be listed so that members of the public may continue to participate.  Additionally, we will post recordings of each meeting on this page for the public to view.  These recordings will also be posted to the Town of Gorham Website for viewing.
 
Until further notice all "non-essential" subcommittee meetings will be postponed.  The Finance Committee will be the only committee to continue to meet.  Its agendas and minutes will also be posted under the "School Board Subcommittees" link on the right of this screen.
