The Gorham School Department has the following positions available for Fall 2018:

 

Literacy Specialists K-5

Seeking elementary literacy specialists with a preferred background in Reading Recovery and/or Leveled Literacy Intervention programs. Experience with KJS (Kindergarten Intervention Program) preferred. MDOE certification #92 required.

 

Guidance K-5

Seeking a collaborative and highly motivated school counselor to join our social-emotional support team. The successful candidate will: collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders and other stakeholders to promote and support student success; have a wide variety of tools designed to work with children at the elementary level; be able to provide whole class lessons, small groups, and individual support to meet the needs of students at various grade levels. MDOE certification #75 required.

 

Behavior Specialist K-12

The successful candidate should have experience working with students with disabilities. There is an expectation for strong consultation skills with ability to develop and assist teachers in monitoring behavior plans and provide professional development to meet staff and student needs.   Have the ability to complete Functional Behavior Assessments is necessary. MDOE certification #79 or #282 required. BCBA preferred.
