The Gorham School Department has the following positions available:

 

 

Maintenance Technician

Gorham School Department is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. This successful candidate will have experience in general maintenance of buildings & grounds, including snow removal. This person should also possess some basic skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry. This is a year-round position, 40 hours per week.

           

Maintenance (P/T Seasonal)

Gorham School Department is looking for a part-time, seasonal worker to assist with snow removal during the winter months.  Experience preferred.

TITLE: ADULT EDUCATION TEACHER

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

   Bachelor’s degree preferably in Secondary Education or Adult Education; and/or

   Certification as an Adult Education Teacher for English

   Experience working with low income, at risk individuals

 

*such alternatives to the above qualifications as the director may find appropriate and acceptable

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education

 

JOB GOAL: An Adult Education Teacher provides academic instruction and support for adults who wish to improve their academic skills, obtain a high school diploma or transition to college.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

            Academic Instruction:

 

           -Provides instruction in a one-to-one, small group and classroom setting

           -Assists students to develop academic plans based on skills, interests and goals

           -Monitors students’ goal plan

           -Assists students to update plans
